Sofer, Rena

Rena Cheryl Sofer was born December 2, 1968 in the city of Arcadia, California . Her father is a rabbi , her mother is a teacher of psychology. In childhood, after the parents divorced, Rena moved to Pittsburgh with her mother. At 15, she was spotted by a New York agent and was invited to work in the modeling business. She studied at Frisch School , a Jewish high school in Paramus , New Jersey ^[1] . She lived in North Bergen , New Jersey, where her father was the rabbi of Temple Beth El , graduated from North Bergen , before starting classes at Montclair State College in ^{[2] [3]} .

Sofer made her television debut in 1987 with a small role in the TV series “ Another World ”. From 1993 to 1997 she played in the soap opera “ The Main Hospital ”. The role brought her the Emmy Daytime Award in 1995. In 1994, she starred in the movie Nannies . In 1998 Sofer moved from daytime broadcast to prime time, with a role in Melrose Place . For the next decade, she continued to take on minor roles in the TV series Fashion Magazine, Heroes , and 24 Hours . She also starred in the movie Carrie (2002) , in the role of Miss Dejardin, a physical education teacher.

In 2013 Sofer returned to the daily broadcast with a role in the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful ” ^{[4] [5] [6]} .

From 1995 to 1997, she was married to Wallace Kurt ^[7] . In 1996, she gave birth to a daughter, Rosabel Rosalyn Kurt. Since 2003, married to Sanford Buxtafer. In 2005, she gave birth to a daughter, Avalon Leon Buxtafer.
