Biography
Born in 1783. The son of the second major of the Prussian service.
In 1794, Bohlen was recorded as a cunker in the Prussian 1st cavalry artillery battalion, in 1803, having the rank of second lieutenant, he was transferred to the newly formed Prussian 2nd cavalry artillery battalion.
In 1805, he transferred to Russian citizenship , and received the rank of lieutenant, and in the same year he was assigned to serve in an orphaned military home (later called the Pavlovsky Cadet Corps ).
In 1807, Bolen transferred to the Astrakhan Grenadier Regiment and participated in the campaign of this year against the French , in 1809-1810. fought in Galicia against the Austrians, and at the end of the war with Austria he switched to the theater of military operations against the Turks and participated in operations of 1810-1811. in Moldova and beyond the Danube .
Produced in 1811 as staff captains, Bohlen took part in the Patriotic War of 1812 , for the difference in the Battle of Borodino he received the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree with a bow and the rank of captain, then fought under Tarutin , Small Yaroslavtsk (for this battle he was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 4th degree) and others.
In 1813, he crossed the border with his regiment, in the battle of Luzen he received two serious wounds and, awarded the rank of major , was sent to heal in Teplice . However, already in August, he again fought with the French and participated in a campaign against Paris , after which he returned to Russia, awarded for occupying Paris with the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree.
The year 1815 again forced Bohlen to move to France , but he was not in battles, but only participated in the Highest Review near Vertyu and then returned with his unit to Russia.
In 1816, Bolen was transferred to the training carabinier regiment, in 1818 he received the rank of lieutenant colonel, on February 1, 1822 he was promoted to colonel and appointed commander of the Galician infantry regiment , and on February 13, 1823, he was awarded the Order of St. for the immaculate service . In the Russian-Turkish campaign of 1828, Bolen participated in the blockade of Silistria and Zhurzhi , and then remained with his regiment in Moldova until 1830.
On April 6, 1830, he was promoted to major general and appointed commander of the 1st Brigade of the 7th Infantry Division, with whom he took part in pacifying the Polish Uprising of 1831. In April and May of this year, Bohlen carried out engineering work near Brest , then , in the detachment of Lieutenant General Golovin , acted against the Poles in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and destroyed their main stronghold in this area - near Svetlichany. After Golovin’s speech to strengthen the troops of the 6th Corps, Bolen remained in the Pushcha for complete calmness in it, and then he moved to Sedlets to join Golovin and took an active part in the battle at metro Zheltikov; when our troops retreated from Krynka to Brest, Boden successfully commanded a rear guard, then repelled the Polish attack on Brest and then participated in the pursuit of Polish troops to the Austrian border. For this campaign, Bohlen was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir 3rd degree.
On October 9, 1831, Bohlen was appointed military commander of the Płock Voivodeship and on December 6, 1833, for the excellent performance of this position, received the Order of St. Stanislav 1st degree. February 28, 1835 he was transferred to the same post in the Cracow Voivodeship , in 1838 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 1st degree, in 1841 - received the crown for this order, on April 16, 1841, promoted to lieutenant general , with appointment to be at the main headquarters of the army, in 1845 he was re-assigned to the army, and on September 26, 1845 Mr. Higher Order appointed Senator of the Warsaw Departments of the Senate.
