History
Until 2009, the 461st assault aviation regiment was stationed at the airport, which was part of the 1st Guards Combined Aviation Division of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army . The regiment is armed with Su-27 , Su-30 , Su-35 , MiG-29 and MiG-35 fighters for 2018, as well as Su-25 attack aircraft and MiG-31 interceptors.
By 2020, deliveries of 7 Su-57 aircraft, 1 long-range Tu-160 bomber, and 10 Su-34 fighter bomber are expected.
It is a joint-based airfield - in addition to military aviation, aviation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Krasnodar Aero Club of DOSAAF Russia are based here.
