Akiko Ono ( Japanese: 小野 明子 ; born July 27, 1978 , Tokyo ) is a Japanese violinist .

At the age of 12 she moved to the UK to study with Yehudi Menuhin and Natalya Boyarskaya at the Yehudi Menuhin School ; She also studied with Dora Schwarzberg at the Vienna University of Music . In 2000 , she won the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists , winner of several other competitions (including the third prize of the Paganini Competition , 1999 ). He teaches at the School of Yehudi Menuhin.
