Alpine skiing tourism in Greece is currently in its infancy and increasing demand for it from foreign tourists . However, among the indigenous people of Greece, this type of tourism is the most popular among all tourism products provided in Greece. The propaganda of Greek ski resorts among tourists of European countries such as Great Britain , Spain , Turkey and Russia is being actively promoted [1] .

Prospects for the development and modernization of ski centers
Together with the Greek National Tourism Organization, several major travel companies are pursuing a policy of popularizing alpine skiing in Greece . For this, new complexes are being built that meet modern technical requirements. Re-equipment and overhaul of the currently existing ski resorts are also under way. For example, over $ 2 billion was invested in the reconstruction of the Parnasos ski center.
Often, ski tourism goes along with excursion service, which gives a more comprehensive service, giving not only holidays in the mountains of Greece, but also providing a lot of interesting facts from Greek history.
Cities such as Florina , Karpension , Kalavryta and Grevena are very popular among tourists visiting ski resorts. Here they are provided with hotel services. However, most of the hotels in the Greek cities associated with ski centers are small. And this is another goal of the Greek policy in the field of alpine skiing and tourism - the construction of new and improvement of existing hotels to ensure the demand of foreign and Greek tourists.
