Be Bop Deluxe (also Be-Bop Deluxe ) is a British rock band that formed in 1972 in Wakefield , Yorkshire , England , and performed glam / / prog rock with a characteristic focus on the guitar work of its leader guitarist Bill Nelson and the scientific fantastic themes of his own texts. In the mid-1970s, Nelson was considered one of the most interesting and original guitarists in Britain. Four albums of the band were in the UK Top 30 ; The highest position (# 10, 1977) reached here Live! In the Air ^[1] . In 1976, the singles “Ships in the Night” (# 23) and “Hot Valves” (# 36) also had success ^[2] .

In 1978, Bill Nelson disbanded Be Bop Deluxe, formed Red Noise , and after the collapse of the group engaged in solo activities ^[3] .
