The MAA-1 Piranha ( port. MAA-1 Piranha ) is a Brazilian air-to-air missile. Design began in the 1970s with Mektron . Missile carriers were Mirage 3 , F-5 Freedom Fighter , AT-26 Shavante and AMX aircraft . The MAA-1 missile had an infrared homing head, viewing angles of 40 degrees, target tracking speed of 50 degrees per second. The homing head captures the target automatically [1] .
