Olkhinsky strings

Olkhinskaya strings (before 2001 and after 2011 - Olha ) is an annual festival of original song in a large meadow near the Olha river near Irkutsk .

It is a massive public non-profit event and the main festival of art song in the South Baikal region. Passes on the last weekend of June. It has been held since 1978, initially by the Irkutsk KSP (?), In 1998-2001, 2011-2012, by the Full Moon creative studio, and in 2003-2010 by the Irkutsk league of an author’s song.

Locals are often referred to simply as PCBs .

Stated goals:

  • promoting a healthy lifestyle ,
  • promoting the creative growth of authors and performers,
  • preservation and development of the best traditions of the bard song genre,
  • introducing young people to poetic and songwriting,
  • development and improvement of the cultural and intellectual potential of youth, friendly relations.
