Geography

Kanevsky district (until 2009 - Kanevsky district [3] ) - located in the northwestern part of the region. It borders with the Shcherbinovsky , Starominsky , Primorsko-Akhtarsky , Leningrad , Pavlovsky and Bryukhovetsky districts and the Yeisk district. The steppe rivers cross the region from east to west: Chelbas , Central Chelbaska , Sukhaya Chelbaska , Miguty , Albashi , Beisug , Praviy Beisuzhok , there are estuaries, conservation areas and a reserve in the region, as well as the largest Chelbass forestry in the region, founded 100 years ago forestry scientist Stepanov. To date, about 100 species of trees and shrubs grow there.

History

The district was formed on June 2, 1924 as part of the Kuban District of the Southeast Region . It included part of the territory of the abolished Yeisk section of the Kuban-Black Sea region . Initially, the district included 8 village councils: Aleksandrovsky , Kanevsky , Novoye Selo (H. Nazarevsky First), Privolensky , Pridorozhny , Prefabricated (H. Srednechelbassky), Staroderevyankovsky , Chelbassky .

From November 16, 1924, the district was part of the North Caucasus Territory , from January 10, 1934 - as part of the Azov-Black Sea Territory , and from September 13, 1937 - as part of the Krasnodar Territory .

On August 22, 1953, the territory of the abolished Novominsky district became part of the district .

On February 11, 1963, the territories of the abolished Bryukhovetsky and Starominsky districts were included in the district.

February 1, 1963 was formed Kanevsky rural area. [four]

On December 30, 1966, the Bryukhovetsky and Starominsky districts were restored to their former borders.

In 1993, the activity of the village Soviets was terminated; the territories of the village administrations were transformed into rural districts.

In 2005, the administrations of rural districts were liquidated in the district and 9 rural settlements were formed .

The population of the district as of 01.01.2006 amounted to 102 589 people, all of them are rural residents. Among the entire population, men make up 46.5%, women 53.5%. The female population of fertile age is 27,366 (49.8% of the total number of women). Children from 0 to 17 years old - 21506 (21.0% of the total population), adults - 81,083 people (79.0%). Of the total population, 61674 (60.1%) are people of working age, 22.3% are pensioners. [20]

Economics

For the development of the economy and social sphere of the district, due to all sources of financing in 2010, 1 billion 828 million rubles were raised, which is 167% compared to the same period last year.

The basis of the region’s economy is the agricultural sector.

Agriculture

The agro-industrial complex of the region includes 13 agricultural enterprises, 46 small enterprises, 1 subsidiary, 6 processing enterprises, 2 bread-processing combines with a feed mill, 717 peasant (farmer) farms , and about 25,000 personal subsidiary farms .

In the region of 181 thousand hectares of agricultural land, including 177 thousand hectares - arable land (131.5 thousand hectares - collective farms, 25.5 thousand hectares - peasant (farmer) farms, 19.9 thousand hectares - small enterprises).

Industry

The main industry of the region is the processing of agricultural raw materials, which is carried out by such enterprises as: Kanevskoy Meat and Poultry Plant LLC, Caloria LLC, Kanevsksakhar OJSC, Russian Field Albashi Canning Enterprise LLC, Sladich Kuban LLC and others.

In the total output, the food industry is 84%.

Transport

There are 4 railway stations in the Kanevsky district: Kanevskaya, Derevyankovka, Albashi, and Pridorozhnaya.

Passenger trucking is carried out by 8 private carriers that serve 9 city and 12 suburban municipal routes. The number of buses serving bus routes is 66, the number of operated flights on routes is 419 daily.

  • The memorial sign on the central avenue of the park named after the 30th anniversary of Victory in the village of Kanevskaya , installed on June 7, 2006 at the site of the Descent of the Holy Spirit Church, built in 1828 and destroyed in 1938 .
