Minasyan, Artashes Navasardovich

Artashes Navasardovich Minasyan ( Armenian Արտաշես Մինասյան ; born January 21, 1967 , Yerevan , Armenian SSR , USSR ) - Armenian chess player , grandmaster ( 1992 ), six-time champion of Armenia (1990, 1992, 1993, 1995, 2004 and 2006) , the last champion of the USSR (1991). Two-time winner of the World Chess Olympiad in the Armenian team ( 2006 , 2008 ).

Biography

In 1999, as a member of the Armenian national team, he became the winner of the European team championship , and in 2000 he participated in the FIDE world championship in knockout system .

Minasyan participated nine times in chess competitions [2] . In June 2006, he, along with Levon Aronian , Vladimir Hakobyan , Karen Asryan , Smbat Lputyan , Gabriel Sargsyan, became the champion of the 37th Chess Olympiad in Turin and was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal [3] . For the victory in the 38th Olympiad in Dresden, he was awarded the medal " For Services to the Fatherland " of the first degree [4] .

The winner of the European Cup among clubs in 1995 in the “Yerevan” team.
