- In January 1831, the play “ Woe from Wit ” was first staged on the stage of the future Alexandrinsky Theater
- December 17, 1831 - the Meiningen Theater was opened [1] .
- On August 31 ( September 12 ), 1832, the Alexandrinsky Theater opened (now Ostrovsky Square , St. Petersburg ) [2] .
- 1832 - premiere of Franz Josef Glaser's opera on Carl von Holtey ’s libretto, The Eagle's Nest .
- February 24, 1833 - the Wielka Theater in Warsaw [3] was opened by Joacchino Rossini's opera The Barber of Seville.
- December 9, 1836 - at the Bolshoi Theater in St. Petersburg, the premiere of the opera " Ivan Susanin " by M. I. Glinka .
- 1836 - Russian premiere of Joseph von Auffenberg ’s drama “The Enchanted House ” (translation by Plato Obodovsky ; the main role of King Louis XI was played by Vasily Karatygin and Pavel Mochalov ).
- 1837 - La Fenice Theater burned out in Venice.
- August 22, 1837 - the Pest Hungarian Theater was opened in Pest, Joseph Baise became its first director.
- February 28, 1838 - the Grand Theater was opened in Havana [4] .
- January 21, 1839 - The Swedish Theater of Turku opened.
- 1839 - the founder of the Sadovsky dynasty, Prov Mikhailovich Sadovsky, made his debut at the Maly Theater .
- 1839 - Nikolai Khrisanfovich Rybakov created the image of Hamlet on the stage, considered one of the best in his work.
- During the tour of the Dreisig Singing Academy in St. Petersburg, the Solemn Mass of Ludwig van Beethoven was performed (for the first time in Russia)
