It is the administrative center of the Vilchansky village council, which does not include other settlements.
Content
Geographical position
The urban-type village of Vilcha is located 3 km south of Volchansk , at a distance of 2 km are the villages of Tsegelnoe and Liman . In the village, the railway station Garbuzovka , 2 km passes the T-2104 highway.
History
From 1993 to 1996, 2 thousand inhabitants of the urban-type village of Vilcha, Kiev region , located 45 km from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant reactor, moved to Vilchu. Immediately after the accident, only the territory within a radius of 30 km from the Chernobyl NPP was recognized as the " death zone ". [2] .
According to the 2001 census, the population was1658 people .
Modernity
During the construction of the village, street lighting was carried out, good roads were built. The houses were provided with central water supply, heating, gas and sewage.
