Etymology of the Hodonym
Former Ottoman Lane.
June 7, 1965 named after the pioneer reconnaissance Yuri Konstantinovich Pavlov (1928-1942). In 1941, Yuri and his parents moved to the city of Kuybyshev (the so-called Samara then), they settled in house 9 on Usmansky Lane. In May 1942, Yuri secretly left his parents for the front, where, together with Konstantin Feoktistov, he was in the reconnaissance group under the command of Colonel V.V. Yurov. Yuri Pavlov died in the performance of a combat mission on September 21, 1942 during a raid by German aviation. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 6, 1965, Yuri Konstantinovich Pavlov was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the second degree.
