Berliner Weiss ( German: Berliner Weiße ) is a type of sour beer .
At the beginning of the 19th century, the Berlin brewer added herbs to the beer. Later, the addition of herbs was replaced by the addition of syrup from the fragrant or raspberry . Syrup is added either immediately during production or later, separately. In the second case, first pour syrup, about 20 milli liters , and then a bottle of 0.33 liters of white beer. Individual mixtures with champagne or liquors are also common.
