Description
Not far from the lakes is the village of Shchurovo , as well as the area of the city of Liman, Green Klin (Zavodskaya microdistrict). Not far from one of the lakes there is the collective railway station of Donetsk .
Lakes are quarries that have overflowed with spring water. This happened in the early 1960s [3] .
Quarries are the result of sand mining by the Krasnolimansky quarry [3] . On one of the lakes, sand mining is still ongoing [4] .
Lakes are located in a pine forest. The water in the lakes is clean [1] [4] .
The water in the lakes never stagnates due to the fact that underground sources constantly maintain the same water level [3] .
The banks were initially steep, but eventually collapsed [3] .
The shore is overgrown with willow and reeds [3] .
In the Blue Lakes, fish are bred [3] .
Other true natural lakes located in this area, such as Ozernoye and Zelyony Klin, are also ranked as Blue Lakes.
