Rukino is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Glinkovsky district . Population - 32 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . Located in the central part of the region, 13 km south-west of the village of Glinka , 3 km north of the P96 highway Novoaleksandrovsky (A101) - Spas-Demensk - Yelnya - Pochinok . 16 km north of the village is the Klokovo railway station on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line . Included in the Boltutinsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsko-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 .
