Biography
He received a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics at Emporia College (now Emporia State University ) in 1925 . Two years later, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . He worked as a draftsman at Stearman Aircraft Corporation, and later moved to the Viking Flying Boat Company , led by R. Gross . After the purchase of Gross in 1932 , Lockheed held the position of chief designer in it. At Lockheed , the famous aircraft designers Clarence Kelly Johnson and Willis Hawkins worked under his leadership.
Hibbard Hall died in 1996 in Los Angeles at the age of 92.
