Story

Ned Wilcox's father dies - Kert Wilcox, who worked as a policeman. He was hit by a drunk driver. Kert was still young, and Ned is very upset by the death of his father. Therefore, Ned often comes to the Pennsylvania State Police, where his father previously worked, and where all of Curtis's former friends and acquaintances are. One day, Ned peeks into garage B, where he finds a dark blue Buick Roadmaster . He is absolutely clean and beautiful. And then Sandy Diaborn, a police sergeant, tells him a mysterious story about this Buick. This Buick was left by a mysterious man in black who disappeared when he went to the toilet. After that, Buick was confiscated by the police.

It was like an ordinary car, reminiscent of the 1953 Buick Roadmaster, but instead of the steering wheel there was a larger wheel, although the battery was present, it was not connected at all, the wires with candles were sealed into rings, and the inscription BUYK was on the engine on the right and left -eight. The car itself dragged on the scratches. Once Ennis Raferti, the then police officer, went into garage B and was taken over by Buick. Later, one suspect was also “gobbled up” by Buick. In return, Buick spat out strange creatures that did not have lungs and did not resemble any of the terrestrial animals. Buick from time to time gave "doomsday" flashes with lowering the temperature in the garage. Kert Wilcox devoted most of his time to Buick. He conducted experiments on it - before the "doomsday" he put insects and animals in the car. The police conclude that Buick is the gateway to a parallel world.

After listening to the whole story, Ned realizes that Buick played a role in the death of his father. After all, the drunk driver who crushed Curt was the person who first saw this Buick. Ned decides to destroy this car. And when everyone leaves, he enters the garage with a pistol, lighter and gasoline, gets into the car and tries to set fire to Buick. The police, feeling that something was amiss, rush to the garage, where they see Ned at the wheel of the Devil's car. They try to get Ned out of there, but before Buick turns into a transporter between the worlds, and Sandy sees in that world the remains of Ennis and the missing suspect. In the end, Ned is freed from the car. A few years later, Ned notices a scratch on Buick and realizes that Buick is starting to break.
