The shooting competitions at the 1992 Summer Olympics took place in Barcelona from July 26 to August 2 .
407 athletes (290 men and 117 women) won 13 sets of awards. Men competed in 7 types, women in 4, and two disciplines of trap shooting (gangway and skit) were open, that is, both men and women could participate in them.
The most successful were the representatives of the United Team, the “heiress” of the USSR national team. The arrows of the United Team won 8 medals, including 5 gold. Marina Logvinenko won both gold in pistol shooting at women.
The youngest participant in the competition, 16-year-old Belarusian Konstantin Lukashik sensationally won 50 meters pistol shooting. 58-year-old Swede Ragnar Scanoker , Olympic champion in 1972 in this form, won the bronze in Barcelona.
