- January 11th - The new French government is tasked to form Edgar Forau . On January 17, his cabinet received a vote of confidence in the National Assembly and on January 20 began to assume duties. [2]

- March 30 - Nikos Beloyannis , a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece, was shot dead at the Goody proving ground near Athens , in whose defense a broad international campaign was launched.

- 15 African and Asian countries demanded to convene the UN Security Council on the Tunisian issue. Their collective complaint against France was rejected on April 14 .
- The leader of the Guatemalan opposition, Carlos Castillo Armas, and General Miguel Idigoras Fuentes signed the “Secret Pact and Unification Commitment” in San Salvador , aimed at overthrowing the revolutionary government of Guatemala. Castillo Armas was appointed military leader of the conspiracy [12] .
- The II congress of the ruling Albanian Party of Labor opened in Tirana . He completed his work on April 7 , having accepted the tasks of the 1st Five-Year Plan (1951–1955), which was aimed at turning agrarian Albania into an agrarian-industrial country [13] .

- April 3 - The new Cuban government severed diplomatic relations with the USSR [14] .
- April 9 - The Bolivian Revolution : a working-class uprising in Bolivia . The miners began fighting with a regular army in the country's capital, La Paz. [15]

- The beginning of a two-month steelworkers strike in the United States.
- The Bolivian Revolution : The rebel miners control the capital of Bolivia, La Paz. The head of the ruling military junta, General Hugo Ballyvian Rojas, and a group of generals flew out of the country. Hernan Siles Suazo (until April 15, 1952) became the provisional president of Bolivia [15] [16] .

- Victor Paz Estenssoro returned to Bolivia and took over as president of the country (until August 6, 1956 ) [17] .

- April 25 - Catastrophe IL-12 near Novosibirsk .
- April 29 - the agreement on the creation of the ANZUS unit [18] came into force.
May
- May 18 - France held elections to the Council of the Republic.
- May 25 - Andre Stil, editor-in-chief of the communist newspaper L'Humenite , was arrested and sent to Sante prison in France [19] .
- May 26 - In Bonn, without the participation of the USSR, a General Agreement was signed between the FRG and the former allied powers - the USA , Great Britain and France . The treaty abolished the occupation regime in West Germany, while significantly limiting the sovereignty of Germany, and ignoring the position of another ally - the USSR. It did not enter into force due to the fact that France did not ratify the Paris Treaty of 1952 [20] .
- May 28 - A protest was held in France against the visit of American General Ridgway to the country. The authorities arrested the acting secretary general of the French Communist Party, Jacques Duclos , who was accused of espionage activities (the so-called “Conspiracy with pigeons” ) [21] .
- May 28 - US Secretary of State Dean Acheson and British Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden began a two-day meeting on the situation in Indochina with French leaders led by Prime Minister Antoine Pinet .

- June 1 - the movement of ships began along the Volga-Don Canal (the official opening took place on July 27, 1952) [22] .
- June 2 - Bolivian revolution : Bolivia issued a decree establishing a state monopoly on the export of ores and ore concentrates [23] . The US State Department has announced the recognition of the new government of Bolivia [24] .
- June 17 - the government of Colonel Jacobo Arbens in Guatemala proclaimed the law on agrarian reform [25] .
- June 26 - Argentina adopted a law on the construction of a monument to the cancer patient's wife, President Peron, Evita Peron [26] .
- June 27 - McCaren-Walter law was passed prohibiting the entry into the United States of persons of communist beliefs [27] .

- The wife of Argentine President Evita Peron passed away . The country declared a 30-day mourning, the province of La Plata renamed the province of Eva Peron [26] .

- October 2 - The Bolivian Revolution : the state mining corporation KOMIBOL was created in Bolivia , uniting the nationalized enterprises of the mining industry [36] .

- The 19th Congress of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) opened in Moscow ; the party was renamed the CPSU (continued until October 14 ).
- In Libya, a member of the royal family, Sharif bin Seyid Muhiddin al-Senussi, killed the favorite of King Ibrahim Shelha. A state of emergency has been introduced in the country [37] .
- October 8 - The July Revolution in Egypt : The Egyptian Revolutionary Council of Egypt announced that it is starting to consider projects for the construction of the Aswan High Dam . The drafting of the project was entrusted to the West German firm Hochtief, which undertook to submit the project by March 1953. [38]
