Padilla Galves, Jesus

Jesús Padilla Galves ( Spanish: Jesús Padilla Gálvez ; born October 28, 1959 , Almeria ) is a Spanish philosopher.

He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Cologne , defending a master's work in Kant's philosophy, and then the dissertation “ Referenz und Theorie der möglischen Welten ”, which analyzes the logical-semantic and modal sentences of Sol Kripke . He worked at the universities of Murcia, Leon and Linz, since 1999 a professor at the University of Castilla and La Mancha in Toledo .

Exploring the creative heritage of Ludwig Wittgenstein , he worked with his archive at the University of Cambridge . The editor-compiler of a number of collections devoted to Wittgenstein, including Wittgenstein and the Vienna Circle ( Spanish: Wittgenstein y el Círculo de Viena ; 1998 ), Wittgenstein from a New Point of View ( English Wittgenstein, from a New Point of View ; 2003 ), “The Labyrinth of the Language: Wittgenstein and Analytical Philosophy ” ( Spanish: El laberinto del lenguaje: Wittgenstein y la filosofía analítica ; 2007 ), “Wittgenstein and Idealism” ( German: Wittgenstein und der Idealismus ; 2007 ).

Jesús Padilla’s own works concern four main areas of philosophical thought: philosophy of language, logic, philosophy of science and special languages. Padilla Galves published the monograph “Metatheoretical treatise on scientific theories” ( Spanish: Tratado metateórico de las teorías científicas ; 2000 ), “The Spanish book of good form.
