Biography
Born on June 15, 1914 in the village of Tokaevo [1] in a peasant family. He graduated from a seven-year school, worked on a collective farm .
In 1932 he moved to the city of Gorky , worked at the car factory first as a student, then as a minder. From 1936 to 1939 he served in the Red Army in the Far East . Demobilized as a junior commander of a machine-gun platoon, returned to work at the Gorky Automobile Plant. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 .
In August 1941, he volunteered for the front. He was appointed commander of the intelligence section of the 24th separate mortar division (29th Army, Kalinin Front ). Baptism of fire received in the battles for Moscow . On February 7, 1942, near the city of Rzhev, six scouts under the command of the Guard Sergeant Gabaydulin were ambushed in Germany. The wounded Gabaidulin, after the death of his comrades, fought alone until reinforcements arrived.
March 24, 1942 for the courage and bravery shown in battle by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Gennady Gabaidulovich Gabaidulin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union [2] .
After completing the crash course of the Arzamas Military School, he was the platoon commander in the part of the guards mortars on the Leningrad Front . He participated in the lifting of the siege of Leningrad . Then he fought on the Karelian Isthmus , was wounded during the capture of Vyborg . After treatment at the hospital, he returned to the army; took part in the liberation of Magdeburg and the assault on Berlin .
In December 1945, the senior lieutenant Gabaidulin was discharged by the guard. He returned to the city of Gorky, raised two daughters and a son. Before retiring, he worked at the Gorky Automobile Plant.
He died on May 14, 1981 in the city of Gorky. He was buried at the Staro-Avtozavodsky cemetery of Nizhny Novgorod [3] .
Memory
In Nizhny Novgorod, a memorial plaque was installed on the house where the Hero lived.
