Singing Metal is an international blacksmith art festival.
As part of the event:
- exchange of experience between blacksmiths
- exhibitions of forged objects are held
- participants demonstrate their art and create their own products
- the central composition of the festival is being created
- Song Contests are held
- blacksmith wedding
- forging auction held
- related exhibitions and events are held
In addition, the festival aims to:
- attracting youth attention to the art of forging
- increase of tourist attractiveness of the Ulyanovsk region

Past Festivals
The festival will be held once every two years. At the moment, 4 festivals have been held. The organizers of both are the Ulyanovsk Forge Yard "Korch"
2006
Held from August 10 to 13. Timed to the 20th anniversary of the Korch blacksmith's yard. 68 masters from 28 cities of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus participated.
The central composition - the wind organ , is installed near the Regional Philharmonic (in the central square). Height - eight meters, weight - about two tons. Each participant forged an emblem with the name of his city or the name of his forge, after which all emblems were fixed around the perimeter of the organ structure. This is the third wind organ in the world.
2008
Held from August 15 to 17. Dedicated to the 360th anniversary of the city of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk . About 100 blacksmiths from 15 cities of Russia, countries of the near and far abroad (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Finland, Italy) participated.
The central composition - the first circle , is installed near the monument to Karl Marx (in the central square). It symbolizes the path traveled by the city for a full circle (360 years - 360 degrees). In the center of the circle there is the emblem symbol of Ulyanovsk - a pillar with a crown, and around the circle there are figures created by masters during the festival.
2010
Held from August 12 to 15. Venue - square V.I. Lenin.
2012
Held from 09 to 12 August. Venue - square V.I. Lenin. The central composition is “Friendship Bridge”.
