Copiapo ( Spanish: Río Copiapó ) is a river in northern Chile in the Atacama region. The length of the river is 292 km.

The height of the source is 1230 m above sea level. The river forms at the confluence of the Horker and Rio Pulido rivers, flows to the northeast, and near the town of Copiapo turns west and flows into the Pacific Ocean .
A dam was established in the upper reaches of the river and a Lautaro reservoir was created. On the banks of the river are the cities of Copiapo and Tierra Amarilla .
