Nonequilibrium linkage of genes ( engage disequilibrium (LD)) is a non-random frequency distribution of alleles from different loci , which can be caused not only by close genetic linking of genes, but also by the presence of the adaptive advantage of a particular combination of alleles, the frequency of which increases accordingly in comparison with the frequency expected with random distribution.
