Andrei Vyacheslavovich Zadneprovsky ( lit. Andrejus Zadneprovskis , born August 31, 1974 in Kaliningrad , USSR ) - the famous Lithuanian pentathlete , silver medalist of the 2004 Olympics and bronze medalist of the 2008 Olympics in the individual competition. Biography

Born in Russia — in Kaliningrad, and began to engage in modern pentathlon at the Kaunas Sports School. The first coach is Edmundas Margelavičius. In 1994, at the World Junior Championships in Toledo, he won the gold medal in the relay and team event. Since 1996, he trained at the Lithuanian Olympic Sports Center under the leadership of Yuri Moskvichev. He graduated from the Lithuanian Police Academy, in 2002 received a master's degree in social work at the Lithuanian Law University. He served as the senior patrolman in the Horse Company of the Patrol Service of the Public Order Police of the Main Commissariat of Vilnius City. In 2010, due to a knee injury, he quit the police and left the big sport. Since 2011, she has been working as a trainer at the Lithuanian Olympic Sports Center.
