The regiment was formed in February 1944 in Solnechnogorsk by reforming the 187th separate tank regiment . He was armed with the SU-76m , SU-85 and SU-100 .
He entered the army at the end of the Uman-Botoshan operation , then crossed the Dniester , took part in the Iasi-Chisinau operation , the liberation of Romania , battles in Austria . In the course of the Debrecen operation, he took part in the capture of Debrecen
