Biography

He started playing football in his native Chisinau, at the Unisport-Auto club. Having played one season in the Premier League of the Moldavian Championship , in mid-2004 Gatskan was invited to view in the backup team of Moscow “Spartak” with the opportunity to renew the contract in six months [2] . In matches for the Spartak double, Gatskan entered the field regularly, having spent 14 matches and scoring 2 goals.

He spent the season of 2005 in the club of the first division, Chelyabinsk Spartak , in those years the former farm club of Moscow Spartak.

In February 2006, he joined the ranks of Kazan Rubin . In the fall of 2006, Gatskan was at the center of the scandal involving a football player’s passport: on October 25, 2006, in the match of the 24th Rubin round, he beat St. Petersburg 3-0 in his home. Representatives of “Zenith” protested the result of the match, noting that 9 legionnaires were simultaneously on the field in Kazan, although the regulations allowed that season not more than 8 players who did not have a Russian passport. They also noted that a change of citizenship in the middle of the season violated the rules of the competition, and obtaining a second citizenship was contrary to the new provision of the Constitution of the Russian Federation , according to which, citizenship of the Russian Federation is only possible in case of renunciation of previous citizenship. As a result of the proceedings, violations with the acquisition of Russian citizenship by Gatskan were not revealed and the protest was rejected. [3] [4] [5]

Playing for Rubin, Gatskan, previously having experience playing for the Moldavian youth team, began to regularly engage in games for the country's main team. On his account 2 matches in the qualifying round for the 2006 World Cup and 8 games - in the qualifying tournament for the 2008 European Championship . In one of the matches for the national team in October 2007, Gatskan was injured and missed the end of that season [6] .

Before the start of the 2008 season, in connection with the acquisition of several new players, in particular, Sergei Semak , Rubin set out to sell Gatskan. An agreement has already been reached with Rostov, but as a result the transition did not take place and the first half of the season Gatskan played for the youth of Kazan, and only in August 2008 joined the ranks of the Rostov club.

On July 18, 2015 he was appointed captain of Rostov. On April 14, 2017, in the game against CSKA (0-0) he played his 250th match for Rostov.

In 2018, he completed his performances in the national team [7] .

On November 25, 2018, in the game against Zenit (0: 2), he played his 300th match for Rostov.

On July 20, 2019, the match against Spartak was the farewell match for the yellow-blue team for Gatskan.

July 23, 2019 moved to the “ Wings of the Soviets ” [8] .
