Biography
Born in the Georgian SSR in the village of Tskhiloni , a little later the family moved to Beslan , where he graduated from school No. 1 . At the age of nine, he began to play sports. A particular priority was given to all kinds of wrestling. Over time, his preference was given specifically to freestyle. The first, and then the head coach of Kudukhov was Valentin Andreevich Gozoev .
In 2003, he won the European Championship among cadets. In 2005, he became part of the Russian team. In the same year he became the winner of the world championship among juniors. In 2006, he won the Russian Championship and again participated in the World Cup , winning a silver medal. In 2007, he won gold medals at the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix, European Championship and World Championship . In 2008, after winning the World Cup and the Grand Prix of Ivan Yarygin, he took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing , becoming the owner of a bronze medal.
In 2009, he again won the gold of the Russian Championship and the World Cup , as well as bronze in team competitions at the World Cup. For two years in a row (2010, 2011) he won gold medals at the championships of Russia, the world, the stages of the world cup, due to which he was the undisputed leader in the weight category up to 60 kilograms in the world. In 2012, he won the Russian Championship for the fifth time, thereby winning a ticket to the Olympic Games in London . In the finals of the Olympics, unexpectedly lost to the Azerbaijani wrestler Togrul Askerov .
In 2013, he took third place at the Russian Championship , losing in the semifinal meeting to the future winner of the tournament - Bekhan Goigereev . During 2013, he took part in the Stepan Sargsyan workshop and the All-Russian Victory Day tournament, winning a silver medal at both starts. In November-December 2013, he won two tournaments: the All-Russian tournament for the prizes of Soslan Andiev and the stage of the Brazil Cup in Rio de Janeiro .
He died in a car accident on the federal highway near Armavir on December 29, 2013.

Post-mortem events
In 2016, the International Olympic Committee before the Games in Rio de Janeiro initiated a large-scale re-examination of doping samples. In August, it became known that Turinabol was found in the Kudukhov doping test taken during the 2012 Games in London [2] [3] . The Indian freestyle wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt , who won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 60 kilograms at the Olympics, wrote on Twitter that he was ready to leave himself bronze and not receive silver instead of Kudukhov: “Besik Kudukhov is a great wrestler. I respect him as an athlete. It turned out that his doping test turned out to be positive, after his death - a tragedy. If possible, let Kudukhov keep this medal. Humanity is of paramount importance to me ” [4] . In October 2016, the first vice-president of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Georgy Bryusov, said that the IOC would not deprive Kudukhov of a silver medal [5] .
