New Tishovo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Glinkovsky district . The population is 6 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region 9 km south-east of the village of Glinka , on the highway P96 Novoaleksandrovsky (A101) - Spas-Demensk - Yelnya - Pochinok , on the banks of the river Stryana. 6 km north of the village, the railway station of the 524th km on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line . It is part of the Berdnikovsky rural settlement.

Content
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler troops in July 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 .
