Benjamin Cujo Thomas Bukpety ( Fr. Benjamin Kudjow Thomas Boukpeti , b. August 4, 1981 , Lagny-sur-Marne , France ) - Togolese kayaker who won the first Olympic medal in the history of this country. Bronze medalist of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in solo kayak competitions. Participant of the 2004 Olympic Games (ranked 18th in the semifinal). 2008 African Champion. Lives in Toulouse .

He has a second French citizenship. Benjamin's mother is French , her father is a Togolese . Before his success at the Olympics and gaining popularity, Bukpety was in Togo only once in childhood.
At the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics was the standard bearer of the Togo team.
