Togo took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics , sending 3 athletes in 3 sports: judo, kayaking and canoeing and tennis. Based on the results of the competition, Benjamin Bukpeti won the bronze medal in the lone single kayak, which became the first in the history of the country's performances at the Olympic Games [1] .
