Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering

• 1930 - the Construction VTUZ was formed in Voronezh (in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the Central Chernozem Regional Executive Committee of August 24, 1930 No. 37/2984)
• 1932 - VTUZ transformed into the Voronezh Civil Engineering Institute (Resolution SNK of the USSR on May 11, 1932 № 621)
• 1941 - VISI reorganized into the Voronezh Aviation Institute (Resolution SNK of the USSR of June 12, 1941 No. 1548-645)
• 1944 - Resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR dated May 4, 1944 No. 501 restored the former name ( Voronezh Civil Engineering Institute ).
• 1981 - VISI was renamed to Voronezh Order of the Red Banner of Labor Civil Engineering Institute (Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on July 1, 1981 and order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR of July 10, 1981 No. 732)
• 1986 - On May 13, the VISI university team (captain - Oleg Peskov) participates in the very first game of the revived television KVN , defeating the IISS team. In the semifinal game, held in April 1987 , inferior to the future champions of the season - the team of Odessa gentlemen
• 1993 - the institute was renamed to the Voronezh State Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering - VGASA (Order of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Higher Education dated July 5, 1993 No. 55)
• 2000 - the Academy was renamed to Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering - VGASU (Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation of November 24, 2000 No. 3403), which was listed on the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on January 17, 2003 as the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering .
• 2011 - in May, by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the university was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering" ^[1] .
• 2016 - in March, by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Voronezh State Architecture Engineering University was reorganized in the form of joining the VSTU as part of the formation of a regional support university in the Voronezh Region ^[2] .

VGASU has an international certificate allowing our graduates to work in engineering positions in 140 countries of the world, the university is a member of the European Association of Building Faculties, in 2004 it was awarded the international prize for quality ^[6] .

University scientists have proposed several innovative solutions for the improvement of railway systems, and a project has been developed to renovate the Voronezh reservoir.
