Mikhail Borisovich Ignatiev (born May 7, 1985 in Leningrad , USSR ) is a Russian professional road and track cyclist , a member of the Russian national team since 2001 , Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2004).

Olympic champion in the 2004 Athens Games in the points race , bronze medalist of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . Multiple world champion among juniors (highway and track). He played for the Katyusha road team. In 2012, he spent the most in the world of racing days, 104 [1] , not having won a single victory. At the end of the 2014 season, he decided to take a career break for a year. There is no information about his return in 2016.
