Club
Pupil of the Sports School of Smorgon and RUOR Minsk. The first coach is Vladimir Gavrilkevich [1] . The first professional club of the football player was Dynamo Minsk . In the 2005 season, Kovel became the Dynamo top scorer (9 goals), winning the championship silver.
In 2007 he moved to the Lviv " Carpathians ".
Leonid’s transition to Saturn near Moscow from the Lviv Carpathians was scandalous. The Ukrainian club stated that it had signed a new contract with the player earlier than Russians [2] . The right of Ukrainians was recognized by the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber [3] , but the footballer refused to return [4] .

On November 10, 2009, he played 32 matches for the Saturn in the Russian Championship, received 7 yellow cards and did not score a single goal.
After the dissolution of Saturn, received the status of a free agent and returned to Dynamo Minsk. He played one season, entering the field in 28 matches, scoring 2 goals and giving 5 assists. At the end of the championship, the contract with Dynamo was not extended [5] .
In February 2012, he signed a one-year contract with FC Minsk [6] .
In January 2013, he signed a one-year contract with the Irtysh Kazakhstan club [7] . But he was forced to leave the team due to injury. And already in the summer he returned to the Minsk club, having signed a contract until the end of 2014 [8] .
In February 2014, the second time in his career he moved to the Lviv “ Carpathians ” [9] . He spent two games for the youth team and not a single for the main team of Lviv left the club in May 2014 [10] .
In July 2014 he returned to FC Minsk, which he had previously played for [11] .
