Christian Kalin Panin ( roman. Cristian Călin Panin ; June 9, 1978, Arad , Romania ) is a Romanian footballer who played left or right quarterback . At the club level he played for UTA and CFR clubs, played two matches for the national team of Romania . Since 2013, he has been the team manager in the CFR.

Club career
Panin is a pupil of UTA football club from Arad . He was in the club’s first team in 1997 and immediately became one of its main players. For five seasons, Panin played with UTA in the Second League , and in the 2001/2002 season his team won this league and earned the right to participate in the First League . Panin's debut in the main division of Romania took place on August 18, 2002 against the National club from Bucharest. According to the results of the 2002/2003 season, UTA took 16th place in the First League and flew out of the tournament. Panin remained in the team for the next season, spent in the Second League, but his club could not cope with the task of returning to the First League.
In the summer of 2004, Christian moved to the CFR . He played for this club for nine seasons in the First League. Three times together with the CFR Panin became the champion of Romania, three times won the national cup and twice in the super bowl . He spent 28 matches in European competitions, including nine matches in the Champions League group stage [1] . In July 2013, Panin confirmed the decision made a year before to end his playing career and transfer to the position of team manager in the CFR [3] .
Team appearances
On November 19, 2008, Panin made his debut in the national team of Romania in a friendly match with the Georgian team , in which the Romanians won 2-1. Christian played his second and last match for the national team on October 14, 2009 against the Faroe Islands team in the qualifying tournament for the 2010 World Cup . In that match, the Romanians also won.
