Tosno-2 is a railway platform on the Moscow direction of the St. Petersburg branch of the October Railway . [2] Located in the district of the same name in the city of Tosno , which is home to about 15% of the population of the entire city. The platform is used by residents of Tosno-2, SNT Stroydetal, employees of the VCHDR-15 wagon depot. There is a pedestrian bridge passing through the paths of the main passage of St. Petersburg - Moscow and the rolling stock depot. The stopping point has three platforms. The platform on the third main track is designed for two wagons of the train and significantly shorter than the others. To go there, passengers have to cross the railway tracks (given that the pedestrian crossing at the station is not equipped), the descent from the pedestrian bridge to the platform is not provided, due to the fact that at first it was considered temporary and used for disembarking workers during the construction of the depot.

In 2009, a complete reconstruction of the platforms and canopies was carried out in connection with the organization of high - speed passenger traffic on the Moscow - St. Petersburg section and the launch of the Sapsan electric trains for permanent operation. [3]
On May 8, 2011, a memorial sign was officially unveiled near the ticket office. Those who died under the bombing of a working train on August 28, 1941 during World War II, were solemnly opened. [four]
