Sodom is a German metal band from Gelsenkirchen , the band was formed in 1981. Sodom belong to the pioneers and one of the most successful classics of the German extreme metal scene along with Kreator and Destruction . The musicians ’playing style, which is significantly different from that of their contemporaries, influenced a large number of thrash, death and especially black metal bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
