Antonio Cauvoli ( Italian. Antonio Cavoli SDB [1] , 1.03.1888, Marignano , Italy - 11/22/1972, Tokyo, Japan) - Catholic priest , member of the Salesian monastic congregation, one of the founders of the female monastic congregation “ Sisters of Mercy” from Miyazaki .

Biography
Antonio Cavoli was born in Marignano ( Rimini ) in 1888 . March 1, 1913 was ordained in Rimini. C 1915 to 1919 was a military chaplain . In 1920, Antonio Cavoli joined the monastic congregation of the Salesians. In 1925 he took eternal vows in Perugia.
In 1926, Antonio Cavoli went to Japan with the first missionary expedition led by the priest Vincenzo Chimatti . In 1928 he became parish priest and director of the mission in Miyazaki .
On August 15, 1937, together with Vincenzo Chimatti, founded the women's monastic congregation of the “ Sisters of Mercy from Miyazaki ”.
He died on November 22, 1972 in Tokyo.
Awards
In 1926, the emperor of Japan awarded Antonio Cavoli with the Order of the Holy Treasure .
