Brick game

Brick Game is a portable game console with a 200-pixel screen and built-in games, without the possibility of downloading new ones. Necessarily contained “ Tetris ” (which is why the console itself is also called tetris ; later this name was also transferred to other similar toys), the composition and number of other games varied. It was popular in Russia and the CIS in the 1990s and 2000s, and was manufactured in China . At present, Brick Game tetris are popular among fans of retrocomputing .

Appearance

The classic shape is a rounded rectangle. The control buttons are located at the bottom, the screen at the top. The screen and buttons are separated by a wave-like bend so that it is more convenient to support the toy from below with your fingers. The classic version of the buttons: the top row is “Start / Pause”, “Turn On / Off” and “Music”, the bottom one is for controlling the game: “Left”, “Right”, “Up”, “Down”, “Turn”. Case color - most often gray; on the front panel, as a rule, there is an inscription “99 in 1” - the number of games on this model. This amount can vary from 2 to several thousand. Such a large number is obtained due to taking into account all minor modifications in games. The number of really different games in one device is usually from 1 to 5.

The playing field is rectangular in size, 10 pixels wide and 20 pixels high. To the right of the field is a scoreboard with a digital indication of the current game. For games, a record is saved, reset by removing the batteries (2, 3, or 4 AA cells ).
