Biography

Chechen . Belonged to the teip Benoy . In 1986 he graduated from school number 4 of the city of Gudermes. In 1988, drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army . Passed urgent service in the missile forces in the Altai Territory, demobilized in 1990.

The brothers, Ruslan Yamadayev , died in 2008 and Sulim Yamadayev , died after the assassination attempt on March 28, 2009, Heroes of the Russian Federation.

Military career

In 1996 he entered the Institute of Management of Business and Law at the Faculty of Law. In 1998, he participated in battles with the Wahhabis in his native Gudermes . Together with his brothers he defended one of the most dangerous areas in the area of ​​the bridge over the Belka River and the 1st city hospital. In 1999, thanks to his negotiations with the Russian generals, Gudermes was saved from destruction and squeezed out militants from there. Then similar actions took place in Kurchaloy and Nozhay-Yurt . Within a few months, Jabrail surrendered about three hundred weapons and a large amount of ammunition.

East battalion

In March 2002, a special company of the military commandant's office of the Chechen Republic was formed from supporters of the Yamadayev clan, and later transformed into the Vostok battalion . The backbone of her were former militants of the Second Battalion of the National Guard, who went over to the side of the federal troops. On March 10, 2002, Jabrail Yamadayev signed a contract for military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and was appointed commander of this company.

In just one year, the special purpose company conducted 18 special operations in the mountains and 23 on the plain, 114 reconnaissance and search activities. The special forces destroyed 16 bases in the mountains, 23 militants from the “Baron” gang of Arapkhanov, 18 from the group of field commander “Kan” Bediev. In total, 137 militants were eliminated, including 11 "Amirs" and 3 field commanders.

Doom

Dzhabrail Yamadayev died in the village of Vedeno in the south of the republic on the night of March 4-5, 2003. The militants blew it up with a radio-controlled device.

Awards

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 348 dated March 22, 2003, for courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant Yamadaev Dzhabrail Bekmirzaevich was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation posthumously [2] .

Memory

In 2003-2009, Vatutina Street in the city of Gudermes was named after Jabrail Yamadayev.
