Construction History

The project of the small Mirage rocket ship was approved and launched on April 11, 1983. On August 30, 1983, the Mirage was laid on the slipway of the Leningrad Primorsky Shipyard (factory number S-77). It was launched on August 19, 1986 and was soon transferred via inland water systems from the Baltic Sea to the Sea of ​​Azov, and from there to the Black Sea for passing the acceptance tests. It entered service on December 30, 1986, and on January 9, 1987, the Soviet Navy flag was hoisted on a ship. On February 24, the Mirage was included in the Black Sea Fleet of the USSR Navy (military unit 49232).

Service History

1987-2007

As part of the tactical naval strike group "Mirage" repeatedly won prizes of the Navy Commander in Chief for missile training (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1997 and 2004). In 1988, the ship covered 2188 nautical miles , in 1989 - 2215 miles, in 1990 - 4800 miles, in 1991 - 3700 miles. From the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s, performing missions on combat duty, the ship traveled more than 20,000 nautical miles for about 400 running days and conducted more than 100 missile and artillery firing, and was repeatedly recognized as the best in terms of part and navy in various types of combat training. Naval battle on August 10, 2008

On August 10, 2008, during the armed conflict in South Ossetia , Mirage accompanied the Caesar Kunikov and Saratov BDKs together with the Suzdalets IPC in the area declared by Russia as a security zone. Five naval targets were discovered, which, without responding to warnings, quickly went closer to the ships of the Black Sea Fleet . As a result of a fleeting naval battle, one target was destroyed: the Mirage missile defense system from a distance of 35 km, on the orders of the NLMB commander, launched a successful 2-missile salvo with the P-120 complex on the first Georgian boat. The remaining continued rapprochement, hoping to have time to attack the Russian landing ships. 2008-2015 years

From September 2008 to July 2009, the ship carried out combat duty tasks, including in the port of Novorossiysk as part of a group of fast response ships. According to the results of 2008, the ship was recognized as the best in the Navy in combat training. In July 2009, he took part in operational-strategic exercises under the leadership of the Navy Kavkaz-2009; from July 2009 to November 2010, scheduled routine repairs were carried out in 91 submarines of the Black Sea Fleet. In November-December 2010, he completed and completed course tasks and joined the permanent readiness forces. From December 2010 to March 2011, he performed tasks as part of a rapid reaction force grouping in Feodosia.
