Full member - in organizations where various types of membership are allowed - a member of the organization with a relatively higher status. Depending on the charter of the organization, a full member may be a natural or legal person.
For example, in the International Gas Union , where the full ( full members ) and associated members differ, the Gazprom company is a full member of this organization [1] . As an alternative transmission of the English phrase “full member”, “full member” [2] or (not quite successfully, sometimes with ironic overtones) “full member” [3] [4] can be used .
In the narrow sense, a full member can be understood as a full member of the Academy of Sciences ( academician ). Full members have a higher status in the Russian Academy of Sciences compared with corresponding members [5] .
Fello
Fello [6] [7] ( Fellow , English Fellow ) - comrade, member of the partnership: the term used in England to designate a full member of a scientific society or corporation [8] . After the vocabulary of Brockhaus and Efron, the spelling of fellos is recorded in many dictionaries [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] , although there is also a fixation of the spelling of fellos [15] .
In English-speaking countries for the full members of scientific societies, the titles “Fello” [16] and “Honorary Fello” ( English Honorary Fellow ) [17] [18] are used . In a number of scientific societies, the title “Fello” emphasizes the outstanding achievements of a scientist in comparison with an ordinary member ( English Member ) [19] [20] . The title "Fello" may also emphasize the difference between a full member of the scientific community and a foreign member ( English Foreign Member ), as, for example, in the Royal Society of London [21] .
