Minsk MMVZ-3.111 is a lightweight two-seater motorcycle from the Minsk motorcycle family manufactured by the Minsk Motorcycle and Bicycle Plant ( BSSR , Minsk ). Produced from 1973 to 1976 , holder of the State Quality Mark of the USSR .

The new generation model was radically different from its predecessor Minsk M106 . The appearance of the motorcycle became more modern, which was facilitated by the elimination of linings, as well as the original forms of engine crankcase covers, gas tank and tool boxes - which can be seen on today's M1NSK M125.

Since 1973, a new model designation system developed by the VNII-Motoprom of the USSR has been introduced at Minsk MMVZ-3.111:

  • MMVZ - manufacturer;
  • 3 - motorcycle class (up to 125 cm 3 );
  • 1 - type of motorcycle (road);
  • 11 - serial number of model.

The single-cylinder air-cooled engine had an aluminum alloy cylinder head. The power was increased due to better filling of the cylinder, an increase in the compression ratio (up to 8.5), as a result of which a power of 9.5 hp was obtained. at 6,000 rpm Instead of a contact-oil air filter, a paper air filter was used. The engine requires fuel from a mixture of oil and gasoline in a ratio of 1:25.

Four-speed gearbox with foot switch mechanism. Multi-plate clutch, in oil bath. The drive to the rear wheel is a chain, with the protection of the main gear with stamped casings and rubber chain covers.

The frame is tubular, closed type. Front telescopic fork with hydraulic shock absorbers, rear pendulum suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers.

For the first time, MMVZ-3.111 motorcycles began to install 18-inch wheels with aluminum hubs, as well as a central light switch and direction indicators.

MMVZ-3.111C Sport

This car, although road, is intended for motorcyclists with sports inclinations who like to ride on roads similar to cross-country trails. In this regard, it is equipped with a sports-type steering wheel, a single saddle. muffler located at the top of the saddle. The motorcycle acquired a sporty modern appearance and thanks to the use of a new, shortened headlight, speedometer and central switch, placed on special racks above the headlight, side reflectors on the front fork casings. “Sport” has no trunk and no decorative elements. Wheels and tires can be in the size 2.50 - 19. as on previous models, and new ones in size 3.00 - 18 inches.

  • The front suspension is telescopic;
  • The rear suspension is swingarm with hydraulic shock absorbers.
  • Electric equipment: generator G421 or G427; ignition - electronic; ignition coil - B-300 or B-300B; spark plug - A6BS or A5BS; switchboard - KET-1 (installed with the G427 generator).

The release of the MMVZ-3.111S Sport model began simultaneously with the release of the MMVZ-3.115 in 1976.
