The Golden Bear of the Berlin Film Festival
The Golden Bear ( him. Goldener Bär ) - the highest award of the Berlin Film Festival , is awarded by an international jury. The author of the sculptural image is Rene Sintenis . "Golden Bear" is awarded the best film of the main competition, and since 2007 also the best short film. In addition to the "Golden Bear" at the Berlin Film Festival also awarded the prize " Silver Bear ".
Ang Lee is the only director in history whose films were twice awarded the Golden Bear Award: Wedding Banquet (1993) and Sense and Sensibility (1996).
