Menshikov Bastion - one of the two eastern bastions of the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg , facing the Petrograd Island . It is connected with the sovereign bastion by the Petrovskaya curtain , and with the Golovkin - the Kronverks curtain . From the east, the bastion is covered by the John ravelin .
