Orlovo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Glinkovsky district . Population - 7 inhabitants (2007) [1] Located in the central part of the region 9 km west of the village of Glinka , 13 km north-west of the P96 Novoaleksandrovsky (A101) - Spas-Demensk - Yelnya - Pochinok , on the banks of the Volost River . 8.5 km north of the village is the Dobromino railway station on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line . It is part of the Belokholmsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler troops in July 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 . On May 30, 1942, partisans fought with Nazi invaders in the village [2] .
