Biography

Born on January 16, 1925 in the village of Dubasovo, Penza region . Mironov's father was a peasant. Then the family moved to Stalin. He worked as a mechanic at the Stalin Steel Plant . I went to work from the age of 18.

Since 1947, at the Komsomol job, he was the first secretary of the Donetsk City Committee of the Komsomol.

Since 1955, at party work. Since March 1961 - Chairman of the Stalin (after renaming the city - Donetsk) Executive Committee. Since 1976 - First Secretary of the Donetsk City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. From July to October 30, 1982 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Donetsk Regional Council [1] .

From October 29, 1982 to June 11, 1988 - the first secretary of the Donetsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine [1] .

Was elected:

  • member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (13.2.1976 - 11.6.1988) [2] [3] [4] ;
  • a candidate member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (12.2.1981 - 6.3.1984) [5] ;
  • member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (6.3.1984 - 11.6.1988) [5] ;
  • member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (6.3.1986 - 11.6.1988) [6] ;
  • deputy of the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 11th convocation (1984-1988) from the Ukrainian SSR [7] ;
  • Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR 8-10 convocations.

He died in Moscow on June 11, 1988 after an illness.

In January 2005, a memorial plaque in honor of Vasily Petrovich was installed on the building of the Donetsk City Executive Committee (sculptor A. M. Skorykh , architect V. M. Buchek).
