Career
Silver medalist of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , as part of the relay team of Russia in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle swimming (Team: Alexander Sukhorukov , Danila Izotov , Yevgeny Lagunov , Mikhail Polishchuk and Nikita Lobintsev ). Two-time winner of the 2007 European Youth Championship. The record holder of Russia in the relay 4x200 meters in short water (swimming pool 25 meters). At the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Dubai (December 2010), Mikhail Polishchuk, as a member of the Russian national team, won the relay 4 by 200 meters freestyle. In 2006, at the first Junior World Swimming Championships in Rio de Janeiro, won the silver in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. Participant of the Olympic Games in London 2012. In 2014, at the World Championships (25m) in swimming in Doha (Qatar) became the silver medalist in the 4x100 freestyle relay race setting a Russian record and bronze in the 4x200 freestyle relay. He lives and trains in Moscow .
