Slivenko, Oksana Nikolaevna

Oksana Nikolaevna Slivenko (born December 20, 1986 in Chekhov , Moscow Region , USSR ) is a Russian weightlifter, a member of the Russian national team since 2000 . Olympic Champion (2008), three-time world champion.

The first trainer V. Taranenko (Chekhov), since 2005, has been training under the guidance of the Honored Coach of Russia Vladimir Safonov (Podolsk). Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2007); Silver medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , three-time World Champion ( 2006 , 2007 , 2011 ), silver medalist at the World Championships 2009 , six- time European Champion (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 ) Oksana Slivenko was the undisputed favorite of the London Olympics in the weight category up to 69 kg, but on July 26, 2012 it became known that the athlete would not take part in the Olympics because of a severe back injury received in one of the last trainings [1] . Winner of the World Universiade 2013 in Kazan with two records.

After the Chinese woman Liu Chunhong was disqualified in 2017, 2008 Olympic gold was transferred to Slivenko. It became the first gold in the history of Russian women's weightlifting [2] . She also again became the owner of world records , which she set in 2006 (123 kg in a snatch ) and 2007 (276 kg in the amount of exercises).
